DREAM AWAY Update 02-07-2014
Greetings,
This will really be a quick update on our news and recent activities. Let me start out with the best news of all! Judy, our daughter, is engaged to be married! Aryeh, a Rabbi who lives in Seattle, proposed to Judy on January 18, and she accepted. They will be married in Atlanta on June 9th, and then she will be moving to Seattle. I know I am late getting this news out, but here it is. Details will be forth coming.
Another event that happened about the same time, and helped cause my delay in getting the news out, was a boat delivery. Friends Gil and Marina had their boat, a Formosa '51, in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, and wanted to sail the boat to the Rio Dulce. I volunteered to help, and also enlisted the help of our friend Wayne, who crewed on DREAM AWAY on our most recent Gulf of Mexico Crossing .
The trip was made and the details will be in the next Maintenance/Cruising Log for January, on which I am presently working.
If you have sent me an email in the last two weeks, do not despair. I have over 300 messages in my inbox, and I am getting to them. They will be answered! I hope to have the log, an update, and the inbox empty, by the end of next week.
That is all for now. We are happily working on wedding plans, and helping Judy formulate a path to June 9th!
regards,
jimk
