Utila - 2010

We anchored at Utila twice, and found it a delightful island town. It is rampant with young people sunning, and diving, and high on life. Utila is home to the Jade Seahorse, a truly eclectic marvel of a restaurant and garden evidently inspired by the architect Hundertwasser. It is also the home of a little bakery that makes world-class cinnamon buns - much to our pleasure, though detrimental to our waistlines.

The second time we visited Utila, it was to check out of the country. We processed our papers first at Immigration, and then at the Port Captain’s office. He was so caught up in one of the World Cup games on TV that he forgot to charge us the exit fee.
